Tampa Bay Restaurants

Tampa has a vibrant cuisine, with traditional Southern fare, seafood from the Gulf, and ethnic restaurants from all over the world. Even better, many of the immigrant communities have been around long enough to develop fusion styles, making them completely unique.

For instance, Miguel's offers excellent authentic Mexican food sure to please everyone. They have special days during the week when you can try cuisine from different regions of Mexico, like the seafood on Acapulco Mondays.

One of my favorite restaurants in Tampa is Pelagia Trattoria. It has unique Mediterranean cuisine, covering foods from Africa, Italy, Spain, and Greece, in a beautifully decorated dining room. Menu offerings change with the seasons, and everything is made on site by hand.

Or perhaps you want a more Southern experience. Boo's Barbecue Restaurant gives you hand-pulled barbecue in Southern-size portions with lots of sauce choices. Don't let its strip-mall location fool you.
